At Every Site
What to Expect
All Kick It In the Park sites are located at City of Los Angeles Recreation & Parks facilities, which are ADA accessible. The below information applies to all Kick It In the Park sites.
Arriving to the Event
- An accessible route will be available from designated parking, drop-off, and transit sites.
- An ADA drop-off/pick-up zone will be designated and marked at each site.
- ADA parking will be available at each site on a first come, first served basis. We recommend taking transit (opens in new tab) if possible.
Viewing Areas
- An accessible viewing area will be reserved at all sites where the main viewing area is not fully accessible.
- Guests requiring seating should plan to bring their own chair or blanket.
Activities
- Vendor, activity, and information booths will be accessible along an accessible path.
- Some youth activities may be on grass, but will be placed as close to the accessible route as possible.
- Possible activities include food vendors, crafts, inflatables, soccer clinics, giveaways, and trivia. These will vary by location and day.
Restrooms
- ADA restrooms will be available at all event sites.
Communication
Communication Accessibility
The City is committed to ensuring all guests can fully participate in the experience.
- Captioning will be provided on screen for all match screenings.
- Sign Language Interpretation will be provided for official speeches and some programming — but not all programming. To request interpretation for a specific event, please follow the accommodation request instructions below.
The City of Los Angeles provides other disability-related accommodations, including auxiliary aids and services, upon request. 📍 Event Location
The event is located near the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center.
🅿️ Parking
ADA parking will be available in the parking lot at 2551 Motor Ave., close to the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center.
🚗 Drop-Off
The designated ADA drop-off/loading zone will be in a parking spot in the parking lot at 2551 Motor Ave., close to the Cheviot Hills Recreation Center. This will be marked with a sign.
🚌 Transit
The closest bus stop with an accessible route is located at Motor Ave. & Monte Mar Dr. (0.2 miles from the event site), serviced by Bus 5.
📺 Viewing Area
The accessible viewing area will be located across from the Recreation Center. The screen will face the grass by the parking lot.
🚻 Restrooms
ADA bathrooms will be portable restrooms, located near the Recreation Center.
⚽ Programming
- The screen will face the grass by the parking lot.
- Activity, resource, and food booths will be located along the sidewalk near the parking lot.
- Youth activities will be located in the grass near the Recreation Center.
- A food truck, when available, will be located at the edge of the parking lot closest to the event area.

📍 Event Location
The event is located at the northeast end of Echo Park Lake, near the intersection of Echo Park Ave. & Park Ave.
🅿️ Parking
ADA parking will be available at LADOT lots 663 and 643, located between Logan St., Echo Park Ave., Park Ave., and U.S. Route 66. The lots are about 700 feet (0.15 miles) from the event site.
🚗 Drop-Off
The designated ADA drop-off/loading zone will be at the intersection of Park Ave. & Echo Park Ave., utilizing the curb ramp up to Echo Park at that site.
🚌 Transit
The closest bus stop is located at Echo Park Ave. & Park Ave. (a few feet from the start of the event, and 0.1 miles from the main event area), serviced by the Pico Union/Echo Park Bus.
📺 Viewing Area
The ADA viewing area will be located on the stage, with shade provided. There is a ramp up to the stage from the path.
🚻 Restrooms
ADA bathrooms will be located along the sidewalk near the event site.
⚽ Programming
- The screen will face the grass.
- Cultural programming and speeches will take place on the stage.
- Activity, resource, and food booths and trucks will be located along Park Ave. between Echo Park Ave. & Logan St. The street will be closed to vehicles.
- Youth activities will take place on the grass behind the viewing area.

The designated ADA drop-off/loading zone will be in a parking space at the parking lot on W 62nd St. & Denker Ave.
🚌 Transit
The closest bus stop is at Gage/Denker, serviced by Bus 110. This is about 350 feet from the park and about 750 feet (0.15 miles) from the event site.

The ADA viewing area will be in the basketball court. The screen will be located at the far end of the basketball court, facing the rest of the court.

ADA restrooms will be located in or near the Recreation Center.

- The screen will be located at the far end of the basketball court, facing the rest of the court.
- Activity and resource booths will be located along the path near the basketball court.
- Youth activities will be located in the grass and turf playground in the area.
- Food, on select days, will be available near the recreation center.

The event will be located between the tennis courts, basketball courts, and soccer fields at Westwood Recreation Center.

ADA parking will be located in the parking lot, with an entrance on S Sepulveda Blvd.
🚗 Drop-Off
The designated ADA drop-off/loading zone will be in the roundabout in the Westwood Recreation Center parking lot.
🚌 Transit
The closest bus stops are at Sepulveda & Ohio Mid Block (Buses 6, 431, 431B) and Sepulveda / Federal Building Roadway (Buses 20 & 720). These are about 1,500 feet (0.3 miles) from the event site.

The ADA viewing area will be located on the basketball court. The screen will be placed at the other end of the basketball court, facing the rest of the court and the grass behind.
🚻 Restrooms
ADA portable restrooms will be placed near the park restrooms.
⚽ Programming
- Activity and resource booths will be located along the side of the basketball court and pathway nearby.
- Food trucks, on select days, will be located along the basketball court near the screen.
- Youth activities will be located on the soccer field.
- Cultural performances, on select days, will be near the screen.

The closest bus stop is at Vanowen / Whitsett, serviced by Bus 165. This is about 1,000 feet (0.2 miles) from the event site.
📺 Viewing Area
The ADA viewing area will be placed on the sidewalk pathway between the parking lot and the soccer field at some times, and on the side of the soccer field at other times. The soccer field is made of compact turf. The screen will be placed at the end of the soccer field, facing the parking lot at some times and the soccer field at other times.
🚻 Restrooms
ADA restrooms will be located near or in the building between the parking lot and soccer field.
⚽ Programming
- Food, activity, and resource booths will be located along the pathway near the viewing area.
- Youth activities will be on the soccer field.
